With the beauty
business growing at 15% to 20% annually in the
country, the need and demand for trained
professionals is always on the rise. In order to
bridge the gap between talent and industry needs,
the Anoo’s International Beauty School (AIBS) was
founded in the year 2007. The school was initiated
on the occasion of the 25th year of Anoo’s- South
India’s oldest brand name in the Clinical and Salon
Services. Initially developed as a family venture,
the company has today grown into a full-fledged
professional set up with presence in 7 Indian cities
with 10 facilities and 1 office in the USA. Anoo’s
has a current work force of more than 200
professionally trained estheticians and technicians.
The outstanding feature of the school is that it
offers India’s first and only M.Sc course in
Cosmetology in collaboration with
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.
A graduate of any disciple is eligible to apply for
the course, which is spread across 2 years involving
4 semesters. Students will be taken through 2500
hours of theory and practicals. The school is spread
across an area of 10,000 sq.ft withultramodern
classrooms & Audio Visual Equipment, Comprehensive
Learning Material, Seminar & Video Conferencing
Halls, Excellent Library Facilities,Good cafeteria
with Internet,Labs,Private Treatment Rooms and
Student Lockers. The course focuses on basic and advanced levels
of: In order to ensure a seamless admission process
especially for those able students who may need
financial assistance, the school has tied up with
State Bank of India (SBI) to facilitate loan
opportunities. The last date for receiving application forms is
25th July 2009. The curriculum gives equal weightage to theory
and practical sessions and the students gain ample
hands on experience by working in the salons under
the supervision of an instructor.Regular up
gradation of the course is done in tandem with
changes in the beauty industry. The entire course on offer at Anoo’s
International Beauty School (AIBS) enables students
to attempt the State Licensing Exam to practice
beauty professionally around the world.After a set
number of classroom hours, Internship is offered for
the students to work in the salon under the
supervision of a senior technician. |
