AIEEE New Admission Procedure to Benefit Students


In this Procedure candidates can exercise   their choices for branches and institutes Online using Internet from places of their convenience.

New Delhi|India|May' 2009: Admissions to all the Twenty (20) National institutes of Technology (NITs) ,Five (05) Indian institutes of information Technology(IIITs) and eleven (11) Central and State Funded Universities and nineteen (19) Self Financed Institutes are being made through CCB based on the AIEEE-2009 Ranks. The admission process has been made completely ONLINE for the convenience of the students and their parents. In this Procedure candidates can exercise their choices for branches and institutes Online using Internet from places of their convience.The CCB along with NIC, New Delhi has developed the required procedure and soft ware.

In the new procedure, all the candidates declared eligible for central counseling by the CBSE based on the AIEEE 2009 Ranks will have to register online during June 08 to June 28, 2009 . Candidates have to verify their personnel credentials such as Category, Sub category, State of Eligibility , Gender and address for communication etc. Provision has been made in the software to modify these details. The detailed admission procedure is available on the website www.ccb.nic.in

After Registration, the software will generate options for different branches and institutes based on the eligibility of the candidate. The candidate can give as many numbers of options as he/she is eligible. During June 08 to 24, 2009 Indicative Seat Allotment will be shown. This will facilitate the candidate to choose the branch and institute at his/her rank. During June 08 to 28, 2009 all the candidates have to lock their choices. Before locking of choices, the candidates can change their options any number of times, but after locking the choices cannot be changed.

The System would automatically allot the seat merit wise based on the preferences given by the candidate. The allotment results will be displayed on the website: www.ccb.nic.in  Individual allotment letters will not be sent to the candidates. Candidates would have to down load the allotment details.


Certificate Verification
All the successful candidates, who have got seat allotment are required to report to any one of the designated admission centers (ACs) for remote reporting. Candidates who fail to report at the Admission Centers for remote reporting shall forego their allotment and they will not considered for further rounds of counselling. These vacant seats will be allotted in further rounds of seat allotment to the eligible candidates.

During the remote reporting every candidate has to produce all the certificates in original such as Admit card, Score card, Proof of Date of Birth, Proof of passing Qualifying Examination, Caste certificate, Income certificate, Medical Certificate and State of Eligibility certificate, etc. Also, an initial fee of Rs 25,000/- is to be paid by the candidate. A Provisional Admission Letter will be issued to the candidate. Candidates will also have an option to give their willingness to consider their higher preferred choices against vacant seats in further rounds of seat allotment.

All the candidates who have taken provisional admission shall report to their respective allotted institutes during July 16-24, 2009 . Candidates who fail to report at the allotted institutes latest by July 24, 2009 5.00PM shall forego their provisional admission.
